Gears of War 2 to not be released in Japan or Germany?

According to Edge Magazine, a Microsoft spokesman has said that the game will not appear in Germany or Japan.

“We can confirm that Gears of War 2 will not be available in Germany or Japan indefinitely”

Gears was one of the first games in Japan to actually sell well for the 360 so its surprising that it wont be sold there. Although later on when the story was first published, Microsoft claims that there has been no announcement on the plans for GoW 2 in Japan.

Germany wont get it though, and by the looks of things neither will the Censoring Aussies either. Whats wrong with killing people with chainsaws?! (In a game) Although on saying that, I am getting the golden chainsaw in real life size *drools*
