The law gets wierder and wierder now. A 43 year old Japanese women who played the game Maple Story deleted the virtual husband's account after he divorced her online. Yes thats right they were married (their characters that is).
The stupidest part is she can face up to 5 years in jail for doing that.
"The woman used login information she got from the 33-year-old office worker when their characters were happily married, and killed the character. The man complained to police when he discovered that his beloved online avatar was dead."
Why on earth would you complain to the police about a character, fine if she tried to hurt you in real life but this is just barmy.
